Terms of Trade

Acceptance of Terms and Entire Agreement

All work is booked, scheduled, commenced, carried out and completed on the basis that the customer has had fair opportunity to read and accepts in their entirety the below terms and conditions. Full acceptance of the below terms and conditions is understood to have taken place unless notification in writing of non-acceptance is received prior to 6:00pm the day before scheduled work is set to commence. The below terms and conditions will be in effect from the time a booking is made and will remain in effect after work is completed.

THESE TERMS OF TRADE, COMBINED WITH ANY OTHER RELEVANT WRITTEN COMMUNICATION BETWEEN THE CUSTOMER AND SPIDERBAN NELSON LIMITED ("THE COMPANY") CONSTITUTE THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES FOR SERVICES PROVIDED. ACCORDINGLY, NO VERBAL OR OTHERWISE INFORMAL REPRESENTATIONS OF THE COMPANY'S DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS HAVE ANY BEARING ON THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES. THE TERMS OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE PARTIES CAN ONLY BE VARIED IN WRITING BY COMPANY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF SCHEDULED WORK.

Payment Terms

Payment in full of all accounts is required by the due date stated on the invoice.

Spiderban Nelson Ltd T/A Spiderban Pest Control Nelson, Marlborough, Tasman, West Coast, Kaikoura (or any of the trading names listed in "Contracting Entity" above) reserves the right to pass accounts overdue by 30 days or more on to a collection agent without further notice.

The default may be logged with credit reporting agencies.

Recovery of all costs involved in the debt collection process will be sought, including court charges and our legal fees.

A late payment fee of $100 plus GST may be charged on all accounts overdue by 30 days or more.

Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at a rate of 3.5% per month from the date the account was due.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Fees

Spiderban Nelson Limited reserves the right to charge a cancellation or rescheduling fee of up to 20 percent of the total quoted cost of work booked in the event the customer cancels or reschedules part or all of that work later than 6pm the day before the work was scheduled to be done. Provision for this fee is in place to cover a portion of any resultant losses from the planned allocation of product, equipment, employee time, and unavailability of the booked time for other chargeable work.
A customer may give notice of cancellation or rescheduling in person to a Spiderban Nelson Limited employee; by phone conversation with a Spiderban Nelson Limited employee; via phone voice message; via mobile phone txt message or via email.


Commenced Work Stoppages - Customer Initiated:

Once work commences and can be completed by the attending technician(s) with the tools and products on hand, the full cost of the booked work may be charged in the event of a customer initiated request or order to cease work. The same shall apply where the customer's agent, employee, tenant or other such person requests or demands the work stoppage. The remainder of the work left undone may be rescheduled for another date/time by mutual agreement between the company and the customer. Additional charges, on top of the the full cost of the booked work stopped, will apply to any work taking place after the date work was stopped.



Weather Based Rescheduling and Cancellation:

Where the customer contacts us after 6:00pm the day before the work is scheduled to take place requesting or requiring us not to do the work at the agreed scheduled time because of wind or rain concerns (actual or forecast), Rescheduling or Cancellation fees (as noted above) will be charged.
Wind: As we are very experienced and adapt our treatment methods and use of equipment in line with the current wind conditions, we DO NOT proactively reschedule work if it is "a bit windy" in the customer's opinion.
Rain: Once the treatment is dry (30 minutes after application) rain is not a factor influencing treatment performance or longevity. Work will be carried out as scheduled in all cases except where Spiderban assesses rain to be such a significant factor that it may impact on pest control performance within the warranty period.



Limitation of Liability

Cats; Dogs; Birds; Fish; Other Household Pets; Bees; Plants; Trees:

In the event that illness, injury or other such perceived or diagnosed harm to a customer's cat(s), dog(s), bird(s), fish, any other household pet(s), bees, plants and/or trees, or death thereof, may be thought to or is reported by a veterinarian, apiarist, arborist, botanist or any other such appropriately qualified person to have been possibly or likely to have been brought about or caused by Spiderban Nelson Ltd ("the company"), it's employees or agents, by way of insecticide treatment of the interior living areas, exterior cladding, roof-space, under-floor/deck areas and/or section surrounding a property, including spray-drift to non-target areas, then any potential liability for such alleged harm will be limited to the lessor of a)a refund of all invoiced monies paid for the service(s) claimed to be at fault or b)$100. If the account in question has not yet been paid then the company may, at it's sole discretion, deduct from the amount owing what it deems fair settlement up to the maximums in a) and b) above, with any money left owing to be settled by the customer on or before the due date of the original invoice. Any refund, payment or deduction made by the company to any allegedly wronged party will be made, at it's sole discretion, on the basis that the other party's acceptance of and/or benefitting from any such arrangement will be deemed to represent full and complete settlement of all current and future claims relating to the specifically raised grievance and that the payment is accepted to be a goodwill gesture made by the company and is not and should not be interpreted as acknowledgement of fault or responsibility.


Rodent, Rat, Mouse and Possum Servicing and Extermination

Rodent, rat, mouse and possum extermination work is carried out with the single objective of exterminating the CURRENTLY PRESENT population living inside a building, or in the spaces specifically defined within a building.

After extermination work is complete, it is the RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CUSTOMER to maintain rodent, rat, mouse and possum control for the building by:

- Purchasing, installing and servicing control equipment, or

- Contracting a pest control company to set up and service control equipment.

Spiderban can sell control equipment or set up and service control equipment depending on customer preference/needs.

In the event of rodents or possums becoming/remaining established inside and around the serviced/extermination area(s) despite the service/extermination measures in place, Spiderban Nelson Ltd ("the company") will not accept any responsibility, financial or otherwise, for damage to buildings or business/personal property, alleged or actual, caused as a direct result of rodent, rat, mouse or possum activity inside or around the treated area(s). This limitation of responsibility includes odors from decaying rodent, rat, mouse or possum carcasses and any related impacts, financial or otherwise, this may cause to the business/residents. Excluding those caught in traps or shot, where these methods are employed, recovery of rodent, rat, mouse and possum carcasses is NOT part of the service offered.

Spiderban retains ownership of all rodent, rat, mouse and possum control equipment placed/installed in and around the customer's property/premises. As such, equipment may be moved, removed, replaced and treatment methods altered at any time by and at the sole discretion of the company and its employees/agents.

Unless prior consent is sought and granted in writing, the customer or their employees/agents shall not move, remove, replace, handle, lose, damage or destroy any equipment placed/installed by Spiderban. The company reserves the right to charge the customer the full new replacement cost of any moved, removed, replaced, handled, lost, damaged or destroyed equipment.

The customer shall provide reasonable access to serviced areas of their property/premises for the purpose of Spiderban being able to service the placed/installed equipment on or about the time when service visits are due or for the recovery of placed/installed equipment after service arrangements have concluded. In the event that Spiderban is unable to organise with the customer the recovery of installed/placed equipment after the conclusion of service arrangements, and the company having made reasonable efforts to do so for a reasonable period of time, the full new replacement cost of unrecoverable equipment may be charged to the customer.

The customer consents to Spiderban using any of the following extermination and control methods at or around their property/premises: Poison baiting and Kill trapping. The type, form, method and placement of poison baiting and kill trapping employed shall be at the sole discretion of the company and its employees/agents. Use of firearms to exterminate and control possums will be discussed and agreed with the customer prior to this method being used.

All rodent, rat, mouse and possum servicing and extermination arrangements are entered into by the company on the basis that the customer has accepted the preceding points in their entirety.


Cockroach and Other Insect Servicing and Extermination

In the event of cockroaches or other insects becoming/remaining established inside and around the serviced/extermination area(s) despite the service/extermination measures in place, Spiderban Nelson Ltd ("the company") will not accept any responsibility, financial or otherwise, for damage and impacts, alleged or actual, caused as a direct result of cockroach or other insect activity inside or around the treated area(s).

Spiderban retains ownership of all cockroach and other insect control equipment placed/installed in and around the customer's property/premises. As such, equipment may be moved, removed, replaced and treatment methods altered at any time by and at the sole discretion of the company and its employees/agents.

The customer shall provide reasonable access to serviced areas of their property/premises for the purpose of Spiderban being able to service the placed/installed equipment on or about the time when service visits are due or for the recovery of placed/installed equipment after service arrangements have concluded. In the event that Spiderban is unable to organise with the customer the recovery of installed/placed equipment after the conclusion of service arrangements, and the company having made reasonable efforts to do so for a reasonable period of time, the full new replacement cost of unrecoverable equipment may be charged to the customer.

Unless prior consent is sought and granted in writing, the customer or their employees/agents shall not move, remove, replace, handle, lose, damage or destroy any equipment placed/installed by Spiderban. The company reserves the right to charge the customer the full new replacement cost of any moved, removed, replaced, handled, lost, damaged or destroyed equipment.

The customer consents to Spiderban using any of the following extermination and control methods at or around their property/premises: Insecticide sprays, baits, fumigants, granules, dusts, mechanised/electronic control devices, non-mechanised/non-electronic control devices. The type, form, method and placement of insect extermination and control product/equipment employed shall be at the sole discretion of the company and its employees/agents.

All cockroach and other insect servicing and extermination arrangements are entered into by the company on the basis that the customer has accepted the preceding points in their entirety.



Borer Extermination and Control Treatments

Spiderban Nelson Ltd ("the company") is a pest extermination and control provider. It is not a provider of, nor does it represent itself as being, a provider of advice or opinion as to the structural soundness of, or suitability of treating any identified area(s) versus renovation/replacement. Accordingly, the quoted or carried out treatment of a property should not be relied upon as assurance of a property's suitability for purchase. Advice or opinion relating to the state of any part of a building with regard to borer damage and recommended action should be sought from a qualified building inspection professional and/or a structural engineer.

Treatment of the borer currently identified as present is provided as a pest extermination and control service. There is no advice or opinion offered or implied as to the state or soundness of the building materials identified as effected, nor whether treatment of the borer is a more suitable course of action than renovation/replacement. A qualified building inspection professional and/or a structural engineer should be consulted prior to making to the decision as to whether treatment of borer is the best course of action.

In the unlikely event of borer becoming/remaining established inside and around the extermination/control area(s) despite the treatment applied, the company will not accept any responsibility, financial or otherwise, for damage and impacts, alleged or actual, caused as a direct or indirect result of borer activity inside or around the treated area(s). The warranty provided covers the pest control work itself and covers re-treatment if necessary of any area(s) identified as requiring additional application at no additional cost for the life of the warranty period (subject to warranty terms and conditions below). There is no guarantee stated or implied as to the restoration or replacement of any building materials or the building itself including financial impacts relating thereto should the customer or their agent(s) provide evidence of further deterioration due to borer activity.

Borer treatment is provided in the area(s) identified and holes visible at the time of treatment. Where new activity is discovered in untreated areas or the emergence of new borer holes in untreated boards/through paint-work, there will be an additional cost associated with any treatment ordered by the customer

All borer extermination and control arrangements are entered into by the company on the basis that the customer has accepted the preceding points in their entirety.


Wasp Nest Extermination

Wasp nest extermination covers treatment of the ACCESSIBLE active wasp nest(s) currently present and identified on the building (or specific location on section) AT THE TIME OF THE WORK APPOINTMENT. All nest sites will be exterminated WHERE ACCESSIBLE. Some nest sites may not be accessible and may be unable to be treated effectivey as a result. High-reach treatment equipment may be used from the ground base where nest sites can not be practically and safely accessed otherwise. The price quoted will be charged where at least one wasp nest is exterminated. We can only exterminate nests that are practically and safely accessible. Inaccessible nests can not be effectively treated and may remain active after the work appointment.

Examples of inaccessible wasp nests include locations:

- requiring the attending technician to climb to a height exceeding 1.8 metres from the ladder base. This is deemed unsafe under Health and Safety legislation.

- requiring the attending technician to climb on to a roof or other high structure where the height of that structure exceeds 1.8 metres from the ground base. This is deemed unsafe under Health and Safety legislation.

- obscured by a structure or surrounding vegetation. This may prevent effective treatment.

- where no adequate access to the nest is available due to building construction and materials. This will prevent effective treatment.

- where the customer notifies in writing PRIOR TO WORK COMMENCING that the use of spraying/dusting equipment is not to be employed due to concerns regarding roof water contamination or spray residue on windows etc.

- where environmental or public safety factors preclude the safe application of necessary treatment for effective extermination.

The customer consents to the use of the following extermination methods: Insecticide spraying and dusting of nests as deemed appropriate by the attending technician. This includes the use of high-reach spraying/dusting equipment from the ground where nests are not practically or safely accessible by other means.

Extermination work often involves spraying and/or dusting above the gutter-line of buildings as this is frequently where wasps make their nests. YOU MUST NOTIFY US IN WRITING PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF SCHEDULED WORK IF TREATING ABOVE THE GUTTER-LINE IS A PROBLEM. Work will proceed as planned on the assumption that there is no issue with treating above the gutter-line should no prior written notification stating otherwise be received.

In some cases there may be some treatment residue on windows as a necessary consequence of wasp extermination activities. Any visible treatment residue will not damage the windows and can be removed with standard window cleaning products and equipment.


Targeted Limited Application, Fumigation and Organic Treatment


Targeted Limited Application, Fumigation and Organic treatments are only suitable for extermination of pest insects CURRENTLY PRESENT in the specifically targeted area(s)/room(s). These treatment options are NOT SUITABLE for sustained control. Full warrantied residual chemical treatments are required for longer term control.

Targeted Limited Application, Fumigation and Organic treatments are delivered by way of:
- Application of product to defined specified areas
- Smoke/vapor Fumigation of a room/building, or
- Organic treatments (in place of a standard chemical solution)

Targeted Limited Application, Fumigation and Organic treatment will only clear out pests CURRENTLY PRESENT in one or more specified areas to which it is applied (e.g. applying ant bait to specific parts of a kitchen bench). As these treatments are not applied to the entire exterior and/or interior of the building(s), are non-residual in nature (such as smoke/vapor Fumigation) or are Organic NO WARRANTY is provided for the longevity or extent to which control can be achieved. Spiderban may, however, choose to provide a warranty by stating this in writing at the time of Booking or Quote. Any warranty provided will have defined limitations and will not be a standard warranty for the pest insect(s) concerned.

You will be charged for the treatment once it has been applied. The invoiced amount is for the application of the treatment at a fair price for the work involved. PEST INSECTS MAY RETURN TO THE AREA TREATED OR OTHER AREAS. ADDITIONAL CHARGES APPLY FOR FURTHER TREATMENTS TO THE SAME OR OTHER AREAS.

Where residual product is used, Targeted Limited Application or Organic treatment may generally resolve or help considerably with insect infestation problems for a period after the initial treatment is delivered. However, a warrantied standard chemical treatment of the entire exterior and/or interior of the building(s) concerned may be necessary to fully resolve the infestation issues for a sustained period of time.

Organic treatment options are only available by specific customer request on a case-by-case basis.

Property Managers, other Entities, and Individual People Booking Work on Behalf of Property Owners

Property Managers and other Entities Booking work on behalf of Owners:


Work will be booked and undertaken conditional on full acceptance of the following:

-1(a): The property management company/entity declares and confirms that it is authorised as the agent of the owner(s) to agree to our Terms of Trade for work at their properties on their behalf.


-1(b): The contract for service and any warranties for pest control work at all properties will be/is between the property management company/entity and Spiderban Nelson Limited and is not between the owner(s) of the properties and Spiderban Nelson Limited.


-1(c): The property management company/entity will be invoiced directly for work carried out at all properties and accepts full responsibility for payment of these accounts when they are issued. Where there is a specific request by the property management company/entity to make the invoice out to the property owner directly, this will not alter the responsibility of the property management company/entity to assume full accountability for timely payment in full of the account. In situations where the property management entity is an individual person, rather than a company, they will assume personal responsibility for the account until it is paid in full. Any necessary collections activities for unpaid accounts may be taken against the property management company/entity rather than the owner(s) of the properties.


-1(d): All communication and correspondence relating to pest control work will be handled between the property management company/entity and Spiderban Nelson Limited. Except as required by law, no communication or correspondence will be engaged in with the owner(s) of properties where work has been carried out. Notwithstanding the preceding points, Spiderban employees will, as necessary, communicate and correspond with tenants/guests of managed properties for the purpose of booking ordered work, arranging preparation steps and answering questions relevant to work ordered.


-1(e): The issuing/receipt of a Work Order or other written instructions from an employee or agent of the property management company/entity will be deemed to be full acceptance of our Terms of Trade in their entirety.


Individual People Booking work on behalf of Owners:

Work will be booked and undertaken conditional on full acceptance of the following:

- The person booking the work, BOOKER NAME, declares and confirms that they are authorised as the agent of the owner(s) to agree to our Terms of Trade for work at their properties on their behalf.


- The contract for service and any warranties for pest control work at all properties will be/is between the person booking the work, BOOKER NAME, and Spiderban Nelson Limited and is not between the owner(s) of the properties and Spiderban Nelson Limited.

- The person booking the work, BOOKER NAME, accepts full responsibility for payment of the accounts when they are issued. Where there is a specific request by the person booking the work to make the invoice out to a business entity or the property owner directly, this will not alter the responsibility of the person booking the work to assume full accountability for timely payment in full of the account. The person booking the work will assume personal responsibility for the account until it is paid in full. Any necessary collections activities for unpaid accounts may include the person booking the work rather than the owner(s) of the property.

- All communication and correspondence relating to pest control work will be handled between the person booking the work, BOOKER NAME, and Spiderban Nelson Limited. Except as required by law, no communication or correspondence will be engaged in with the owner(s) of properties where work has been carried out.

Important Information. Treatment Considerations and Limitations

Applies to ALL Spider and Insect Treatments:

THE BELOW TERMS APPLY, WITHOUT VARIATION, TO THE APPLICABLE TREATMENT(S) UNLESS SPIDERBAN PROVIDES NOTICE IN WRITING (AS IN THE RELATED TERMS AND CONDITIONS ABOVE AND BELOW) TO THE CUSTOMER AT THE TIME OF QUOTE AND/OR BOOKING.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED IS MADE UP OF THE DETAIL SPECIFICALLY NOTED BELOW COMBINED WITH ALL OTHER RELATED DETAIL AROUND THE TREATMENT CONCERNED. THIS INCLUDES RELEVANT INFORMATION PROVIDED IN THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AS WELL AS ANY OTHER WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS BETWEEN THE CUSTOMER AND THE COMPANY PRIOR TO WORK COMMENCING.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED IS ONLY THAT PROVIDED FOR IN WRITING AS REFERENCED IN THE PRECEDING PARAGRAPH. ACCORDINGLY, NO VERBAL OR OTHERWISE INFORMAL REPRESENTATIONS OF THE COMPANY'S DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS HAVE ANY BEARING ON THE WARRANTY BEING PROVIDED. WARRANTY TERMS CAN ONLY BE VARIED IN WRITING BY COMPANY MANAGEMENT PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF SCHEDULED WORK.

THERE IS NO WARRANTY PROVIDED FOR "TARGETED LIMITED APPLICATION", "FUMIGATION" AND "ORGANIC" TREATMENTS. THIS IS COVERED IN DETAIL UNDER THESE HEADINGS ABOVE.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED IS NOT A "GUARANTEE" IN THAT WE WILL RE-VISIT TO RE-APPLY TREATMENT AS REQUIRED BY THE RELATED TERMS. THERE IS THEREFORE NO PROVISION FOR A FULL OR PARTIAL REFUND OR THE EMPLOYMENT OF ANOTHER PEST CONTROL PROVIDER TO PROVIDE TREATMENT FOR THE SAME PEST(S) AT OUR COST, SHOULD THE TREATMENT NOT BE ENTIRELY TO YOUR SATISFACTION.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED IS FOR THE PEST CONTROL TREATMENT ITSELF AND COVERS THE RE-TREATMENT OF AREAS IDENTIFIED AS REQUIRING ADDITIONAL TREATMENT APPLIED. IT DOES NOT COVER ANY DAMAGE OR LOSSES, ALLEGED OR ACTUAL, FINANCIAL OR OTHERWISE RELATED TO THE EFFICACY, OR LACK THEREOF, OF THE INITIALLY APPLIED TREATMENT.


EXTERIOR TREATMENTS

Washing, water-blasting, chemical cleaning, painting, staining, re-cladding, re-surfacing, renovating and/or replacing any exterior part of the treated building(s) within the warranty period associated with the treatment(s) concerned may diminish the effectiveness of or remove the treatment(s). For Ant treatment, this also applies to (in addition to the above) earthworks, landscaping, re-turfing, re-surfacing and/or paving of or on the immediate surrounding section, as well as washing, water-blasting, chemical cleaning, painting, staining, renovating and/or replacing any outdoor surface within the treated area(s). For Borer treatments the above conditions apply specifically to the treated wooden parts of the home/building being replaced with new materials.
The warranty provided with any treatment(s) may be effected or invalidated if the treated areas are subject to any of the the above activities.


INTERIOR TREATMENTS

Washing, chemical cleaning, painting, wall-papering, staining, re-cladding, re-surfacing, renovating and/or replacing any interior part of the treated building(s) within the warranty period associated with the treatment(s) concerned may diminish the effectiveness of or remove the treatment(s). For Flea and Bed Bug treatments, this also applies to (in addition to the above) washing, chemical cleaning, staining, removing or replacing floor coverings within the treated area(s). For Borer treatments the above conditions apply specifically to the treated wooden parts of the home/building being replaced with new materials.

The warranty provided with any treatment(s) may be effected or invalidated if the treated areas are subject to any of the the above activities.


Window Cleaning - Spiders Outside Treatment:

There will be some over-spray and/or runs on windows after exterior spider treatment. This is an unavoidable consequence of doing a thorough job. The spray will not stain the windows and is easily removed with a damp cloth or squeegee. Windows can be cleaned the day after treatment. Care should be taken when cleaning windows not to have liquid running down the side of the building as this can diminish the effectiveness of the spider treatment below the windows.


Cobwebs - Spiders Outside Treatment:

PLEASE NOTE WE DO NOT REMOVE COBWEBS FROM BUILDINGS PRIOR TO TREATMENT.
If a building has a considerable quantity of established cobwebs on it, we would recommend a light building wash prior to treatment.
However, with all the spiders on the building(s) dead from the treatment, the untended webs will deteriorate anyway through natural process. There will be no live spiders or new webs on the building(s) after treatment for at least the warranty period.


Treatment Above Gutter-Line - Spiders Outside Treatment:

Spider control treatment may involve spraying above the gutter-line of buildings where house structures to be treated are situated above this level. There may also be some over-spray above the gutter-line as a consequence of thoroughly treating the sides of roof guttering and flashing. YOU MUST NOTIFY US IN WRITING PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF SCHEDULED WORK IF TREATING ABOVE THE GUTTER-LINE IS A PROBLEM. Work will proceed as planned on the assumption that there is no issue with treating above the gutter-line should no prior written notification stating otherwise be received.


Treatment Day Preparation - Outside Treatment:

The customer must make sure washing is not hanging on the line and anything they would prefer not to be treated is moved outside the treatment area (i.e. at least 3-4 metres away).
Any items present within the target treatment area may be treated directly or indirectly in the course of treating the building(s).
Fish ponds need to be completely covered to lower the risk of unintended exposure of fish to the treatment. The customer should cover ponds or provide adequate covers for the ponds. Uncovered ponds are at the customer's risk. SPIDERBAN ACCEPTS NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR HARM TO FISH DUE TO INADEQUATE COVERING OF PONDS OR INADEQUATE PROVISION FOR COVERING OF PONDS.
Bee hives (own or hired) should be moved at least 10 metres away from the building(s) being treated. This will prevent unintended exposure of hives to treatment. Bee hives located less than 10 metres from the building(s) are at the customer's risk.


House Preparation - Inside Treatment:

Important Note: Any item or surface that is not covered or put away in a closed container or cupboard may be treated directly or indirectly in the course of treating the inside of the building(s). Work will proceed as scheduled on the basis that the customer has covered or put away everything they do not wish to be exposed to the planned treatment.

Pets: All household pets (cats, dogs, birds) must be out of the house and prevented from regaining access until the customer re-enters the house at the notified safe time. Fish tanks must be completely covered with at least two layers with the filter TURNED OFF. Work will proceed as scheduled assuming that the customer has made provision for pets as above.


Warranty Periods and Additional Details:

SPIDER CONTROL EXTERIOR

Exterior treatment for spiders and new cobwebs has a warranty of 10 months from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty covers the house or commercial building treated, per the invoice, and most permanently fixed, structurally significant attachments. The treatment area covers the EXTERIOR of building(s) up to a height of 8 metres from the ground (i.e. without the need for climbing on objects or the use of a ladder). Reasons for this height restriction on treatment include Government Health and Safety regulations and the effective height limitation of treatment equipment. Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing this warranty DOES NOT COVER (attached or unattached) fences, trellises, pergolas, balustrades, gates, air-conditioning units, LPG bottles, water storage tanks, ground level deck exterior edging, lower level slatted/trellised building cladding, supporting house foundation poles, stairs, aerials, satellite dishes, security lights, outdoor furniture, sculptures, barbecues,, storage boxes/cupboards, garden walls, garden/spa huts, letter-boxes, wheelie bins, retaining walls, clothes-lines, swimming pool area structures, garden/pump sheds, garden/decorative arch-ways, play houses, play-ground/sports equipment, trampolines, detached car-ports, detached garages, detached lean-tos, benches, boxed gardens, spa pools, shade-sails, shade-sail posts, umbrellas, outdoor blinds/louvres, caravans, vehicles and trailers.


ANT CONTROL EXTERIOR

Exterior treatment for ant infestation has a warranty of 5 months from the INVOICE DATE.


Note: warranty for business premises and buildings with a business type use is 3 months from the invoice date.


COCKROACH EXTERIOR BARRIER

Exterior barrier treatment for cockroaches has a warranty of 5 months from the INVOICE DATE.

Interior treatment for spiders has a warranty of 5 months from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty DOES NOT COVER the roof or floor voids.

ANT CONTROL INTERIOR

Interior treatment for ants has a warranty of 5 months from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty DOES NOT COVER the roof or floor voids.

COCKROACH CONTROL INTERIOR

Interior treatment for cockroaches has a warranty of 5 months from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty DOES NOT COVER the roof or floor voids.

FLY CONTROL INTERIOR

Interior treatment for flies has a warranty of 5 months from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty DOES NOT COVER the roof or floor voids.

This warranty covers control of House flies, Blow flies and Cluster flies only. It DOES NOT COVER Fruit flies/Vinegar flies and Drain flies/Phorid flies. These species of fly are a hygiene, cleaning and internal building maintenance issue. Practical, physical measures are necessary to eliminate favorable breeding conditions in order to achieve control. INSECTICIDE TREATMENT IS NOT AN EFFECTIVE OPTION FOR THESE SMALL FLY SPECIES.

IMPORTANT: INCREASED WARMTH AND HUMIDITY WILL INCREASE THE SPEED AT WHICH INSECTICIDE IS PROCESSED BY HOUSE AND BLOW FLIES. The treatment’s knock-down and repellent function works best at a temperature below 26 Degrees Celsius. High humidity may also affect the treatment’s knock-down and repellent function. For best results it is recommended that the temperature and humidity in the treated building(s) is regulated using an air conditioning system or similar process.

FLEA CONTROL INTERIOR

Interior treatment for fleas has a warranty of 6 months from the INVOICE DATE. Treatment of all resident domestic pets for fleas needs to be up to date as a condition of this warranty. The warranty covers the room(s)/area(s) specifically treated only. The warranty DOES NOT COVER furniture (including lounge suites and beds) and furniture coverings (including pillows and bedding).

BED BUG CONTROL INTERIOR

Interior treatment for bed bugs has a warranty of 6 months from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty covers the room(s)/area(s) specifically treated only. The warranty DOES NOT COVER furniture (including lounge suites and beds) and furniture coverings (including pillows and bedding).


BORER CONTROL TREATMENT INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR

Treatment for borer on the exposed timber surfaces under the building or on exposed parts of the building framing has a warranty of 5 YEARS (60 months) from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty covers the timber surfaces specifically and directly treated only. Where timber surfaces in the treatment area are not exposed at the time of treatment, such as when they are covered by insulation or another building material, they are not covered by the warranty. Warranty is subject to the treated timber surfaces not being replaced for the duration of the warranty period.

Treatment for borer in the erupted holes and lines of painted, varnished or stained timber surfaces of the building, including ON ANY PARTS OF A LIVING AREA OF A HOUSE, has a warranty of 3 YEARS (36 months) from the INVOICE DATE. The warranty covers the currently erupted holes/lines specifically and directly treated at the time of treatment only. New borer holes and lines are not covered by the warranty and will require additional paid treatment to treat the new borer activity concerned.

IMPORTANT: The warranties cover the timber surfaces specifically and directly treated only. Borer activity anywhere else other than those surfaces that were specifically and directly treated at the time of treatment are NOT covered by the warranties.
