Throughout the top half of the South Island, from Blenheim and Nelson to Greymouth and Kaikoura, the Spiderban brand has developed a solid reputation. Spiderban is a market leader in spider proofing, fly proofing, ant control, cockroach control, rodent control and wasp exterminator control with a focus on thoroughness, using modern equipment and proven application methods. Flea, Bed Bug and Borer treatment services are also provided to our customers. Our Pest Control Technicians (PCTs) achieve truly outstanding results in exterminator pest control for homes and businesses.
All Spiderban Technicians are licensed and qualified as Urban Pest Managers. Under New Zealand law, pest control technicians must be Urban Pest Manager qualified to carry out residential or commercial pest control work.

This business, based in Christchurch, is controlled by Brian and Rose Walker. The lower part of the South Island, from Rakaia to Invercargill, is independently owned and managed by Spiderban Ltd. This business, based in Ashburton, is controlled by Mike Ward.
Because we are not a franchise, we are free from having to pay regular fees and percentages from work done to a master organisation.
This means more funds for training and equipment upgrades and allows a focus on quality results with no constraints on products used or pricing. Questions and concerns are dealt with directly by Owner-Management without the need for referral to "Head Office” for action, saving our customers time and maintaining the personal service we pride ourselves on.

John Sigglekow is the owner and manager of Spiderban Pest Control Nelson, Marlborough, Tasman, West Coast, Kaikoura and the managing director Spiderban Nelson Ltd. With extensive training and experience in all aspects of pest control, John has established a growing reputation for his thoroughness, professionalism and excellent results.
A registered full member of the Pest Management Association of New Zealand, John is a Master Pest Control Technician, qualified Urban Pest Manager, certified AntPro exterminator and Approved Handler. With years of experience in the pest control industry and having personally completed hundreds of pest control jobs, John has the expertise, skills and insights to handle all your pest problems.
Prior to entering the Pest Control industry, John worked in Sales, Customer Service and Team/Operations management for companies in the technology, finance and banking sectors. This corporate leadership experience drives John to make sure Spiderban is delivering world-class service and results to all customers in the top half of the South Island.
When John is not out eliminating your unwanted pests and managing the business, he enjoys time with his two children, Nicole and Ryan. John's interests include Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, in which he holds a blue belt and has competed in competitions throughout the South Island.
